FOREST SCHOOL
Each child in the school has a half-term of Forest School visits
These involve visiting the woods at Ammerdown and building shelters, making and cooking food over open fires, making bows and arrows, playing games and generally having a wonderful time.
Here are a few photographs of our most recent visit.
We make bread by rolling the dough onto a stick
Then cooking it over a fire
Hang on, it's nearly ready!
Ahh - the end of another adventure!
VISIT TO YEOVILTON FLEET AIR ARM MUSEUM
As part of our history work, we went to Yeovilton to have a
World war Two experience!
Here we are dressed up in clothes of that time.
We are all ready for off!
We tried making gas mask boxes
We learnt about evacuees and had a look at what they might have taken with them in their cases
We played with the kind of toys that the children would have had in those days
There was an air raid -we heard the siren and took shelter under our tables...
We had a great trip!
SAINSBURYS VISIT
We also visited Sainsburys and tried lots of healthy foods
And what exactly does one do with THIS?
When she stops talking, I'm going to munch this delicious looking pizza!
The cheesy biscuits were great - and to think they are good for you too!
I really like these healthy snacks!
