Classes and Session Times
Class Organisation
To maintain practical teaching groups we have created three classes as follows.
CLASS 1 (Mrs Adams).
Reception and Year One children 22 children
CLASS 2 (Mrs Dart).
Year One, Two and Three children 24 children
CLASS 3 (Miss Cheetham and Mr Clayton).
Year Three and Year Four children 29 children
These three teaching groups allow us to achieve the highest standard of teaching and learning possible with given numbers in each year.
Additional help is provided by our four Classroom Assistants, one in each class, one supporting a particular child and our Special Needs Assistant, working with all ages of children.
Session Times
MORNING SESSION
09.15 - 12.25
MORNING BREAK
10.55 - 11.10
LUNCH BREAK
12.20- 13.25
AFTERNOON SESSION
13.25 - 15.30
The younger children have a 10 minute break in the afternoons.
TOTAL TEACHING HOURS excluding assembly, registration and break is 23.30mins for children in years 2-4 and 22.30 mins for the younger children.
Children are supervised from 9.00 am and should arrive at school between 9.00 and 9.10. They must not be sent to school earlier than this however keen they may be!
In the interests of safety we require that parents let us know if somebody different is collecting their child for any reason. Children are collected from the front wall and are not allowed to run across to vehicles.
