Absences and Notes
Good attendance is crucial to your child's success at school.
If a child is absent from school for reason of illness, we require a 'phone call or message at the commencement of the illness. Additionally he/she must bring a written note to the teacher on the day of their return. For all absences not due to illness, for example a hospital apointment, a note in advance is requested.

Holidays
Parents should not take holidays during term time as it can damage their children's education. If such holidays are unavoidable, due to exceptional circumstances, parents must request a holiday form from the office to be considered for authorisation by the Head.
Please note: There is NO ENTITLEMENT to annual holiday during term time.
Odd days taken for holidays during school time will always be "unauthorised" and again, should be avoided.
Parents are asked to keep school records up-to-date with a current telephone number by which they can be contacted in an emergency. Additionally we require emergency contact details of family or friends who are prepared to contacted.
It is our expectation that an ill be kept at home, both for their own sake and for the sake of the other children in the school. If a child becomes ill whilst at school, we will contact you to come and collect them.
Please Note:
No drugs of any sort can be administered in school without WRITTEN PERMISSION from parents. Please let us know if your child has asthma, allergies etc.
