The Aims of the School
It is the aim of the school to
- Offer an education in which all learners can fulfil the "Five Outcomes" within "Every Child Matters"

- Develop a child's self-esteem and confidence by providing a supportive environment in which individual efforts and abilities are valued
- Provide children with opportunities to think things through for themselves
- Present equal opportunities to all to achieve their full potential
- Enable children to develop their own emotions and feelings and to read and deal with those of others
- Demonstrate the importance of Christian beliefs and moral values in everyday living
- Provide guidelines for discussion of citizenship
- Provide opportunities for children to discuss ideas and understandings with other people and to be aware of their own needs as learners
- Provide a wide, relevant and differentiated curriculum, to include the National Curriculum, in a stimulating and interesting way, using first-hand experiences where possible
- Help the children to acquire self-discipline, to be polite and well-mannered and to develop a genuine respect for others
- Encourage a child's sense of belonging to the school as a community and, through this experience, to understand and participate in their role in the wider community
